Austin FC II announced today the team signed 16-year-old midfielder Ervin Torres to its MLS NEXT Pro roster on his first professional contract. Torres initially joined Austin FC as a member of the Club’s Academy in 2020, and he becomes the fourth player from the Austin FC Academy to sign a professional contract with Austin FC II (Anthony De Anda, Micah Burton, Bryan Arellano).

Torres, a Texas native, signed an amateur agreement with Austin FC II on March 24, 2023, and made three (3) appearances during the team’s 2023 MLS NEXT Pro title-winning season.

For his performances with the Austin FC U-17 team, Torres was selected to compete in the 2023 MLS NEXT All-Star game following the conclusion of the 2023 MLS NEXT Playoffs and Showcase. Torres has made six (6) appearances for the U.S. U-16 Men’s Youth National Team, recording four (4) starts and one (1) goal.
